Unable to connect to AdminServer

Hi All,

We just installed WebSpeed 3.1A on an NT Server. From the progress explorer
when I try to connect to the server, it gives an error - "Unable to connect
to Admin Server. Insure Admin Server is running (8336).". I am logged in as
administrator.

The service is running when I check in Control panel - services. Also there
are no other progress services running (KB:19303).

What do I need to ? Any help in debugging this problem would be appreciated.

I had this problem with 3.0B where every once in a while the Progress
Explorer decides that AdminServer is not running when services says it is. I
even tried stopping the service and restarting it with no luck. But a reboot
always solved my problem.

Hi Mario,

I have rebooted the machine twice with no luck.

Any other pointers.

Try to query the AdminServer via the command line tools..

proadsv -query
