[Stackoverflow] [Progress OpenEdge ABL] How to refresh html form and retain data

Is there a way in which I can retain data already entered by a user on refresh/reload? Imagine i have field "Customer Code" and every time that something is entered on that field i have to do a server call to get the name of that customer then update field "Customer Name".

Now imagine this is a table with a whole lot of data already entered by a user, I want to make a server call, get the customer name and still have previously entered data
