The Progress community is made up of enthusiastic developers and associates who are passionate about Progress and helping others. The Progress Sitefinity MVP Program is designed to recognize individuals who have been active members of this community. Progress Sitefinity MVPs are engaged community advocates who listen and promote Sitefinity CMS and Progress tools while fostering collaboration and providing guidance to developers and partners.
What Is the Progress Sitefinity MVP?
The Progress Sitefinity MVP is a one-year recognition given to individuals based on their community participation and evangelistic activities in the Sitefinity CMS and .NET communities for the past 12 months.
Progress Sitefinity MVPs are passionate about the tools and technologies of Sitefinity CMS, .NET, JavaScript and other platforms. They are an emissary for Progress in both the worldwide and local communities. They are passionate and involved in at least one broad community engagement area like blogs, Twitter, video and online and in-person speaking engagements. They are champions in both the Progress community and public community forums. They have demonstrated expert knowledge and excel at providing constructive and credible insights into how Progress can be a better product based on real world experience.
What Are the Benefits of Receiving a Progress Sitefinity MVP Award?
Anyone receiving the Progress Sitefinity MVP is entitled to the following benefits:

The Progress Sitefinity MVP designation is earned through contributing to the developer community and promoting Sitefinity. MVPs are:
When we do the evaluation, we want to see MVPs:
The Progress Sitefinity MVP does not include any direct financial compensation. Any pre-approved expenses incurred on behalf of Progress will be reimbursed.
What Is My Time Commitment?
We understand that all Progress Sitefinity MVPs have a day job and it’s not always possible to be involved in the community 100% of the time. However, as a Progress MVP, you are recognized because of your participation in the community and we therefore expect that you participate and contribute to the community as a part of your normal activities.
How Long Is the Progress Sitefinity MVP Award Valid?
A Progress Sitefinity MVP is awarded for one year. At the end of every year the MVP award committee evaluates activities of both nominated and current MVPs.
What Is the Progress Sitefinity MVP Selection Process?
The selections of Progress Sitefinity MVPs are based on nominations. All nominations are weighted on several factors that include:
At the end of each calendar year a panel evaluates each candidate's contributions to identify the most active and engaged individuals. MVPs are announced each June, recognizing those individuals that have made contributions to the Progress community and assisted their fellow developers. The Progress Sitefinity MVP designation is earned through contributing to the developer community and promoting Sitefinity. MVPs are:
- Enthusiastic and passionate about Sitefinity CMS and/or Progress solutions
- Actively promoting Sitefinity CMS
- Open to sharing knowledge about their projects and provide feedback of their experience
- Certified developer/ Advanced Certification and Sales Certification for the current version of Sitefinity CMS
- Very knowledgeable about the Sitefinity CMS
- Highly skilled problem solvers
- Regularly helping the community and educating others.
- Active on social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Contributing to Progress Marketplace and community groups
- Attending industry events such as local meetups, user groups, global conferences and presenting on Sitefinity CMS
- Team players
When we do the evaluation, we want to see MVPs:
- Publish articles about topics relevant to Sitefinity
- Speak at ProgressNEXT, user group, roadshow, or innovation tours.
- Create Sitefinity videos
- Contribute to Progress Marketplace and community
- Provide feedback and help to Progress teams
- Be active throughout the whole year
- Be a Progress Certified developer on the current version
