OpenEdge 10.2B SQL Client Access is available for download on ESD and is specifically meant for configurations where you want to install an ODBC driver on a different machine than the database server. You should be able to download it for all sorts of platforms using ESD and the serial numbers and control numbers will be published there as well. You would typically install the 64-bit version of the SQL Client Access products if you have 64-bit clients (i.e. Excel) that will use the ODBC connection. The fact that the database server is a 64-bit or 32-bit install has nothing to do with it. The SQL Client Access product download page on ESD also has the following section (with regards to the licensing): Configuration Examples: 1. OpenEdge SQL Client Access is on Windows and the database server is IBM AIX. Order and install OpenEdge RDBMS for IBM AIX and download and install SQL Client Access for Windows. 2. You have deployed an installation of 50 Registered Client licenses of the OpenEdge RDBMS, with 40 SQL Client Access components. You need 10 additional ones. You or your end-user can download additional SQL Client Access components as required. Note that you cannot exceed the Registered Client counts for which you have licensed the RDBMS.
