I'm running an Oracle 8.0.5 database and a Progress frontend with the schema holder, to my knowledge, managing the transfer of data. It runs like molasses and I'm afraid regardless of how well my Oracle is tuned the interface will still crawl. Are there db performance problems common to this version of Progress using Oracle dataserver???
As I'm sure you can already see I know very little about Progress. I'm actually not even sure about the connection... it appears that Progress is referencing the tnsnames.
Is there a particular reason the Progress schema holder has so many indexes??? The carry over into Oracle is inflating my database, some tables by 50%.
