I'm running V7 on OpenVMS and can't seem to get a server buffer size greater than 115,000. If I try more than that I get the #48 error a few minutes after server startup and the server shuts down. Progress creates a .shm file of equal size when creating the buffer cache with the file type of "CONTIGUOUS BEST TRY" but I'm suspicious that the file needs to be truly contiguous. Is that the cause of the mysterious error?
