Hey all, this is my first post.
I looked on the Progress KB & the PEG but couldn't find anything.
I want to be able to disconnect all our clients every night. That's easy to do for our UNIX logins, but I don't know how to do it for our GUI logins.
The problem is that 3 times in the last week, somebody's been locking a DB record, causing our nightly reports (including our month-end for July) to fail because of a lock wait timeout.
Last night I found & disconnected the offending user while dialed in from home, but I want this to be automatically done before our nightly reports start. Of course, I put out a priority email reminding people to log off at night, but we can't depend on users, can we?
Anybody have any ideas? I'm assuming it would have to be done somehow through proshut or promon, but I don't know how.
Thanks,
Matt
