Database not started by SQL Explorer(Progress9.1D09)

Dear all,
I tried to use SQL Explorer in winxp client to connect the progress 9.1D database which is on Redhat 4.7 Server. But it displays "Database not started", in fact, my database is still starting and the service port is setup as well. I can't fix it, please tell me what's wrong. For the details, please refer to my attached.

After installing java 1.3.1 on linux server, the problem can fit it immediately. Thanks.
