Can't understand why there are so many problems to setting up PROGRESS ODBC.
I'm currently running 9.1c Provision, Full Install i.e. Client Networking and all else included.
Trying to get ODBC working on my local machine to start with, which is W2K. I have served my database,
* First I tried running ODBC as a small client i.e. %PROOIDRV% -SV -S my-service -N TCP -H localhost
* Then opened up the ODBC manager, followed Progress instructions on setting up the connection "TEST".
* When test connection, it asked for a USERID and PASSWORD so i created a USERID and PASSWORD on the DB. Mind you i'm trying to connect to a copy of sports2000 on my local drive "c:\db-copy\sports2000"
* Once i press button, it just stays as though it is doing something i.e. the hour glass. I'm not getting any error messages nor do i get successfull response.
Can anybody please please help me.
