    sqldump?

Non-Progress developers wants to run queries against the data without using ODBC. Therefor the recommendation is to use sqldump and load the data in to a SQL Server DB prior to running queries against it. The thought is to set up a process for dumping the data from tables involved on a regular...

Remote appserver process times out after ~ 40 minutes

Thanks for your answers. Makes me think I might have a new project on my hands :-) This is not pulling data in the form of reports. The appservers were set up for that purpose but we are using them to pull data written to different ASCII flat file formats for loading in third party application...

I dont understand where the problem may be

Have you checked the application server logs for clues? Have you checked the database log for clues? Can you write temporary logging output in the program that runs so you can determine how far it gets before it hangs?

Output to file without double quoting.

Doh. Sometimes you need to ask the question to figure out the answer yourself. I guess I could do this using a dynamic query. Thanks, HPM

Output to file without double quoting.

OE10.1B Windows 2003 Anyone know of a way to output a table's data to ASCII file with a delimiter of choice but without the double quotation marks that the EXPORT statement gives you? I'd like to avoid having to define each field in the table that I need output (like PUT UNFORMATTED)...
