This is not pulling data in the form of reports. The appservers were set up for that purpose but we are using them to pull data written to different ASCII flat file formats for loading in third party application...

After launching a remote process asynchronously the client session hangs as the network connection from the remote appserver session to the client session is broken.

Have you checked the application server logs for clues?

Can you write temporary logging output in the program that runs so you can determine how far it gets before it hangs?

Anyone know of a way to output a table's data to ASCII file with a delimiter of choice but without the double quotation marks that the EXPORT statement gives you?
I'd like to avoid having to define each field in the table that I need output (like PUT UNFORMATTED)...
