Hi, Does Linux support async I/O? I tried a nm on the shared libraries in linux, but couldn't find any references to aio_error, aio_suspend, aio_read & stuff of that sort. Do we need to include some other stuff to get this support in the kernel? Help appreciated. Regards Nick

Hi, Want to know what a raw disk is. Also, what is the difference between /dev/disk & /dev/rdisk? When do we use /dev/disk & when do we use /dev/rdisk? Any pointers on extensive help on this would be greatly appreciated. Regards Nick
