For those of you whom I bothered with ancient, obsolete and unsupported Progress 9.1d questions over the years you can relax. We are upgrading our EPR (epicor) system to the latest version by the end of the year. It's MSSql only now. Progress DB is no longer supported. I sincerely thank all of you for all your help!!!!

Shame to see you will be leaving the Progress world freak. I didn't realise Epicor had moved to SQL.

Epicor made that decision a very long time ago. It is the reason that so many of their "Vantage" customers have remained mired in v9.

(I may be misremembering the name of the product that is stuck on v9. Epicor is not a monolith -- like Infor and a couple of others they actually have quite a few products under their roof. Quite a few of them still run Progress. The big one moved future releases to MSSQL roughly 10 years ago. Customer adoption of that direction has been "sluggish".)
