Hi,

Is there any difference with licenses between WebSpeed 31A and OpenEdge 102B?
I mean, as far as I remember 31A - if you have 5 users connection that would give you 25 users doing requesting. Is that the same in Open Edge 102B?

Thanks in advance for your attention on this.

Kind regards,

There is not separate WebSpeed Broker licenses available anymore with OpenEdge 10. Instead it is part of the AppServer lincense. Buying the AppServer license leaves it up to you whether you run an AppServer or WebSpeed Broker or both.

You need to be aware that the license model has changed. In Progress V9 (WebSpeed 3.1A is really Progress V9.1A IIRC) the concurrent user model was widely used. With OpenEdge 10 they introduced new license models like registered client and named user. Depending whether you are allowed to stay on the V9 licensing model or need to adopt a new one (which will definately the goal of your Progress sales rep) it might be different.
