Hi guy's. Am struggling since yesterday trying to get webspeed to run but just got to wonder if it could run on vista home premium?

I have OE 10.1B updated up to the latest service pack. so it's
"OpenEdge Release 10.1B0325 as of Mon Jul 7 10:24:17 EDT 2008" and am running on Vista Home Premium SP1.
IIS is IIS 7, and webserver is running fine, the webspeed broker is running ( the default one wsbroker1 ).

But any of those links wont fireup webspeed..
http://localhost/scripts/wsbroker1?WSMAdmin
http://localhost/scripts/cgiip.exe?VerifyConfig&Level=1
http://localhost/scripts/cgiip.exe?VerifyConfig&Level=2
http://localhost/scripts/cgiip.exe/ping
http://localhost/scripts/wsisa.dll?VerifyConfig&Level=1
http://localhost/scripts/wsisa.dll?VerifyConfig&Level=2
http://localhost/scripts/wsisa.dll/ping
http://localhost/wsnsa.dll?VerifyConfig&Level=1
http://localhost/wsnsa.dll?VerifyConfig&Level=2
http://localhost/wsnsa.dll/ping

and if I pass via the AB from the menu webtools the browser open's up with http://localhost/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=wsbroker1/workshop but still aint got no success.
I have the server error page from IIS.

Server Error in Application "DEFAULT WEB SITE"Internet Information Services 7.0

So.. any helps would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe this KB entry may be useful

Title: "How to configure IIS 7 on Vista for WebSpeed ?"
Created: 07/27/2007 Last Modified: 12/08/2007 Status: Unverified

Goals:
How to configure IIS 7 on Vista for WebSpeed ?
IIS 7 configuration for WebSpeed
What steps to follow in order to make WebSpeed work on Vista ?
How to setup cgiip.exe with IIS 7 ?
How to setup wsisa.dll with IIS 7 ?

Facts:
Windows Vista
IIS 7.0

Fixes:
First double check if CGI/ISAPI features of IIS are installed via:
Control Panel -> Programs -> Program and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off -> Internet Information Services -> World Wide Web Services -> Application Development Features: CGI, ISAPI Extensions
Create a virtual directory "scripts" (you name it).
IIS Manager -> Web Sites -> Default Web Site -> Add Virtual Directory -> Alias: scripts, Physical path: c:\inetpub\scripts (or where cgiip.exe and/or wsisa.dll are)
Then allow cgiip.exe / wsisa.dll to run on IIS:
IIS Manager -> IIS -> ISAPI and CGI Restrictions -> add -> Add cgiip.xe and/or wsisa.dll and tick on "Allow extention path to execute" for them.
IIS Manager -> Web Sites -> Default Web Site -> scripts -> handler mappings -> edit handler permissions -> tick on "execute".
You will also be probably missing virtual folder for webspeed images etc, in this case (assuming this is 10.1B):
IIS Manager -> Web Sites -> Default Web Site -> Add Virtual Directory -> Alias: webspeeed101B, Physical path: c:\dlc10b\webspeed (change c:\dlc10b as per your settings)

@FrancoisL,
Thanks for this reply and helpfull hint. Am getting near.. at least now I get the good old webspeed error msg!! But at least am getting something that shows actually that webspeed is trying to connect or run..

So I'll check on the broker or sevices.. maybe they have a config problem.
Will update and let you know.

Thanks

Well.. :)Everything is working fine now.. Thanks for the KB.

I kinda hate all the new features on Vista... it's like "everthing" is turned "off" by default for "security" reason... and you then turn "on" whatever you need... Why not make something secure in the begining....
