W2 Forms

Hi Peggers,

I am pretty new to this environment and it is my understanding that W2 forms
for 1999 will only work after upgrade to Syteline 4.00.10 and Progress 8.3B
and above, I am curious as to how those of you on Syteline 4.00.02 and
Progress 8.3B are handling this issue.

Various insights very much appreciated.

Rexford,

My 2 cents for what it's worth.

We are currently on Symix V4.1 R2.01 Progress 8.2B.

We received documentation from the government that the mag media layout had changed and asked Symix for a new release.

We received V4.1 R2.03.

The right-hand W-2 has been re-formatted to print data 1 character to the right.
In comparing the 1999 W-2 form to the 1998 W-2 form we noticed there were NO layout changes.

The mag media re-formatted some dates to allow the century.
Therefore, we plan to NOT move in the W-2 modification, but WILL move in the mag media modification.
