Unable to connect to Admin Server. Insure Admin Server is running(8336).

Situation:
Progress 9.1D installed, adminport -7835 -port 20931
Progress 9.1E installed, adminport -7836 -port 20932

Changed the ports in the registry.

9.1D Progress Explorer tool works fine,
9.1E Progress Explorer tool returns above error.
AdminService is started correctly for 9.1D and 9.1E in Services...
Also tried restarting here, but no effect.

I tried proadsv -query and the strange thing is that I get no response at all. No Adminservice is alive or not alive, just nothing and I get returned to the prompt for 9.1E again. Same thing for proadsv -stop and -start.

I know it is not supported, but I had it working in many other situations.

To clarify

One System?: Version of Windows?
What 9.1E SP?
Have you run the admnsrvc /install within the proenv?

You have both installed on the same server?

Make sure that you do not have environment variables set in "My Computer". If you do they would likely be pointing to the old version and confusing the new.
