Great Client Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota area (St. Paul- Twin Cities) area is looking
for a Sr. Progress DBA.

Base Salary 75-95K..depends on experience.

*Description:
The Senior Database Administrator will play a lead role in the physical design, development,
maintenance, and support of corporate and divisional Progress database environments.
They will work directly with local and divisional application development managers,
lending technical leadership and expertise to individual projects and team members.

*Requirements:
-Four-year degree in a technical field such as COMPUTER science, management information systems,
or engineering.
-Five years experience as a DBA developing, maintaining, and fine-tuning Progress databases.
-Two years experience in Data Warehousing. Experience with Ascential DataStage & ERWIN is a plus.
-Two years experience leading small to mid-size teams (3-5 people).
-Good understanding of the Progress databases along with related tools and utilities.
-Knowledge and practice using conceptual, logical, and physical database design principles.
-Understanding of the underlying hardware, operating system, and DBMS constraints, and how
they should impact design principles.
-Experience with code migration, revision control, database change management and
data management through the various stages of the development lifecycle.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to transition smoothly
between technical and business vernacular given the audience.
