Results 8.3b & Win XP Pro not getting along

I've got an XP Pro box that I've installed Results 8.3b on and have added the proper protocal/port to the services file.

When I attempt to execute and connect to the database (it sits on an AIX box) I get the following error message:

Services file not found where it is expected

...and it shuts itself down.

Am I missing something somewhere? Is there a patch somewhere I need to know about?

If your services file is properly located in the windows\system32\drivers\etc directory and it's not working, check the registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Services > TCPIP > Parameters > DataBasePath it should be %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc. If that don't work copy it to the windows directory and try it.
