Plastic Suppliers is especially proud of their newest product called EarthFirst™ film, a PLA-based film made from the 100% annually renewable resource, corn. Applications for EarthFirst film include label face stock, shrink film, floral wrap, envelope window film, flexible packaging, and release liners.

Responsibilities:[/FONT]

1. Provide analysis, problem identification and support for a variety of technologies and applications (primarily PROGRESS v9 CHUI programming in a mid-sized, modified Varnet/MXP environment.)
2. Receive user support inquiries via the Help Desk response line, phone, e-mail, or walk-ins. Investigate, resolve, and follow-up on user inquiries and problems.
3. Research and Develop user inquiries for efficient methods of completing tasks. Provide limited training and demonstration.
4. Document new knowledge items in a manner consistent with the guidelines established for maintaining the knowledge base.
5. Demonstrate ability to learn new applications by quickly developing a high level of functional expertise.
6. Demonstrate ability to work effectively as a team member.

[FONT=Arial, sans-serif]Desired Skills and Abilities:[/FONT]

1. 3+ years experience with PROGRESS v6 (or above) CHUI and application programming support.
2. 2+ years experience with ERP system.
3. Familiarity with PROGRESS RDBMS in *nix (HP-UX) environment.
4. Familiarity with WebSpeed or other web development.

[FONT=Arial, sans-serif]Required Skills and Abilities:[/FONT]

1. Associates degree in a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. (Combinations of college-level course work in information systems and relevant experience can substitute for a degree.)
2. Above-average oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.
3. Ability to function under close deadlines with minimal supervision.
