"OpenEdge Graphical Client has stopped working" is a generic message displayed by Windows when an application has crashed. The knowledgebase article is about a specific issue which causes a crash but it's unlikely that it's the same issue your client is seeing. A file called protrace.NNNN (where NNNN is the process ID) is usually written when the OpenEdge client crashes. If you find the file and post it may give us more information about what caused the crash.
