progress 4gl vs AS400

Hi All,

Last few years i have worked on progress 4gl tech... Now i got an opportunity to work on As400 tech as an administrator.. Please let me know the advantges and dis-advantages of joining As400 tech...

Also, suggest whether its good to move from progress or not.

Is AS400 still alive or used by anybody?

If I remember correctly Progress dropped the support for AS400 come Progress V9.1d - V9.1c was the last version that contained a data server for it. Has that been 2001?

I think one can still access AS400 with the ODBC Data Server, but that is a dim memory, not a fact.
