I'm a newbie in Progress and Syteline, so I learn.
I have to move an already Syteline installation to another server (to old hardware), nothing to upgrade because the enterprise is satisfy with the actual.
I already move all the installation and databases sucessfully, the services are working fine.
But the symlic database is not OK like I already seen in your forum because the server name is not the same and the licence is coded with.
So my questions are:
- May I rename the new server like the older and retrieve the usage of the symlic database (another hard work for me because there are other service on this srv) ?
- If not how and where to do a request for an updated licence for this replacement server? (I'm replacing an old engineer and I have nothing documented about Syteline...
)
