Jetforms pipemgr.exe problem

Hello all,

We're using Jetforms 5.3, with Syteline 6.00.10 and Progress 9.1.c on Win2000 Server.

Recently an issue popped out of nowhere, the faux-printer that Jetforms uses to pass things to Central was filling up with jobs and a warning box saying:

'There was an error found when printing the document "Remote downlevel document" to \\.\pipe\jetform\server do you want to retry or cancel the job'

Cancelling canceled the job, funnily enough, while retry had no effect.

<cut a long story short>

I eventually traced it back to PIPEMGR.EXE (both entries in the task list) dissapearing as soon as more than one job was queued.

The 'sticking-plaster' solution I have is to wait for Jetforms to finish processing the job it has, then restart the jetform service, which brings the pipemgr.exe x 2 back and the next chunk of jetform jobs process.

I have copied over various files from a new, clean install of jetforms on a test machine, like pipemgr.exe, various .dlls, etc but to no avail.

So please, if anybody knows of a solution or can help in anyway, please let me know.

Thanks,

Joe
