How can I send images (photos) from USB port to Field RAW into a DATABASE

I want to include images photos of employees into a field type RAW , I will use a webcam in a USB port. How can I read the bytes in the port and send into a field or show in an application's Progress.

I appreciate any help.

I think that the easiest way is to use a 3rd-party product that do all the acquisition job, and save the picture somewhere on the harddisk.

Once this is done, you go back to your progress application, and import the picture in your database.

All I know about RAW field is that you cannot exceed 64 KByte. It means that a 96 KB JPEG picture has to be truncated and imported in 2 RAW Fields (64 + 32) .
