Happy Holidays.

I am happy to say I am finally at a company that takes holiday time seriously and avoids massive implementations during Christmas and New Years :)

That is indeed a bonus! I was meant to be dumping and loading a 400GB database over Christmas but decided to hand in my notice last week so they don't want me doing it any more. :)

Thanks - looking forward to it. Back working for an ISV rather than an end user.

Congrats Cringer, and all the best to you and yours for the holidays and new year.

So you're moving to an OpenEdge ISV, I hope :)

Yep indeed - OpenEdge.
Legacy system in 10.2B08 (with ADM and ADM2 stuff. Eeek!) to maintain, and R&D on an 11.6 replacement product they're building from the ground up.

Yes heavily ensconced in Windows back ends for ease of maintenance for the end users I believe.

Cringer seems like a stand-up guy, but ... I have heard of Windows back ends ... but until I actually see one with my own eyes, I can't 100% believe that they actually exist ;)
