Flagging customer as obsolete

Is there a way in 2.1.1 Customer Maintenance to indicate that a customer should no longer be used? We don't want to delete the customer because we want to retain history, but we don't want users selecting the customer during Sales Order entry, etc.

MFG/PRO version 9.0 character, Progress 8.3b.

Hi there Pam,

I don't know if this will work but how about setting that customers credit limit to zero? If it doesn't stop users from using that customer completely, it should at least stop some transactions from taking place.
