Extract contents of a report using Actuate API

Hello,
Anyone has any idea that how can we extract content of a report
using Actuate API ?

E.g. Suppose I have one .rod file and I want to know how many
labels are used in a report, how many text controls are there, etc.
and their name

Please let me know if anyone has any idea or if implemented such
thing earlier ?
