Calling Outlook Express from Progress 9.1b GUI

I would like to give users the option of clicking on a button and the Progress procedure would "call" or open up a new OE message. Something like the "Send To --> Mail Receipient" works in XP or "mailto" in html.

Use the OS-COMMAND with the following (as an example):

start mailto:gcampbell@epro-sys.com

So the whole statement would look like.

OS-COMMAND SILENT VALUE("start mailto:" + "gcampbell@epro-sys.com").

That's great, but if I hope to send the mail automatically, how can I do?

Then look into using the COM interface to Outlook (many examples on www.peg.com).

Or use smptmail.p (available at www.freeframework.org) but it doesn't send e-mails via Outlook it directs them directly to your SMTP server.
