I have a script to start the database on Linux boot. Part of the script is the execution of PROENV. Since PROENV does not exit, the rest of the script does not get executed. Is there an instruction that will tell PROENV to exit like PROENV /e or something similar?
I'm trying to install Progress 9.1E which requires Java v 1.3.1 My RedHat version came with Java v 1.4.2. I downloaded Java 1.3.1 from Sun and installed it in RedHat. Both versions are now residing in Linux. I modified the Linux global path to include the Java 1.3.1 location.
When I go to...
I downloaded and installed as per comatt1 instructions and that is version 6. I went to look as per casper's instructions and can't find version 1.3.1 .bin download.
How difficult can this be?
I'll go have a look. The Progress installation requirements shows JRE/JDK Requirements by Platform.
Yesterday I spoke with Progress Tech. Support and they told me that Java 1.4.2 was not supported and I needed to go to 1.3.1.
Thanks,
I need to install 4GL and Workgroup Database on Red Hat enterprise 4.5. This redhat comes with Java v 1.4.2. I need to install Java 1.3.1 for Progress 9.1E to work properly.
I haven't been able to find Java 1.3.1 and also need the instructions on how to load it into Linux.
Would appreciate...
