Currently PDSOE has a feature called "Evaluate Preprocessing". It seems to have two features. 1) If enabled, it will color "inactive" preprocessor regions different from active ones. Procedures/Functions in the outline view of inactive regions will be grayed. For example you can see this if you open adm2/data.i or adm2/smart.i. Because the EXCLUDE preprocessors are defined, those procedures are considered "inactive". 2) The other feature when enabled is to show the value of a preprocessor when you hover over one (if you are in an active region of code). Feature 2 is really useful regardless of when you are in an active region or inactive region. It would be great to make it available all the time. Feature 1 is good but makes it harder to read the code. You lose the syntax color highlighting when editing the code. Some developers may want to turn Feature 1 off but leave Feature 2 on. Enhancement request: - It would be great to have a separate setting to Enable Preprocessor Value Context Assist separate from Enable Preprocessing Region Coloring.
