9.1E is ancient, you should upgrade.

Why does the server restart? Stop that from happening.

When the database crashes what does the database log file say? dbname.lg in the same directory as the database.

Thanks TheMadDBA. i understand the old version to progress open edge exactly is the open edge 9.1D. It is the only client in the world to use Peer Direct. Peer Direct was a system to replication databases to version 9 the alternative to fathom replication also to progerss open edge 9. but today not comercialiced. I share the log in a attach file. thanks

That appears to be a log file from a normal shutdown...

09:53:16 BROKER 0: Shutdown request received from Admin Server. (8852)

Nothing unexpected here. Somebody or something asked the admin server to shut down the database and it did. Is this supposed to be the log from one of the "crashes"?

The pertinent line from that seems to be
09:53:16 BROKER 0: Shutdown request received from Admin Server. (8852)
Which indicates a normal shutdown.

Thanks. Yes its a only issue to log, but it may be a bug? because it can occur 2 times in the day will be about ".bat" scripts start database? I mean by the server admin has not given the order that database shutdown and another databse not crash.
I suggest reinstalling progress open edge? or create a new script upload database? Or I check memory server or process.
Thanks for your help!

Are all of the databases started with these same bat files? What commands are in the bat files? (dbman or proserve)

Is someone logging in via remote desktop to execute the bat files? Do the shutdowns roughly correspond to them exiting the shell or logging out or being logged out by windows?

Any windows scheduled tasks relating to Progress?

Is somebody meaning to shut down a test/ut database and accidentally shutting down the prod database?

There is some missing information here... the admin server is being commanded to shut down the database. Crashes put tons of different errors in the logs, this is just a database being shut down on purpose.

puntually anormally i observe this found shutdown. nothing more
00:00:01 SQLSRV2 3: Found shutdown value 1.

I am pretty sure that value 1 means a normal shutdown, everything else in the log tells it is a normal shutdown. We are trying to help, but that log file you provided was a normal shutdown.

Please check out all of the suggestions from my last post and get back to us.

Is this a 24 hour production environment? Are the users connection to the Server via Microsoft Terminal Services or Citrix?

Start by providing a clear explanation of what the problem is. Actual error messages and correct log files are a good start. You might want to try answering the follow-up questions that Cecil and TheMadDBA have posed.

I think the OP is saying the case is resolved and he wants to mark this thread as such. That is not necessary in this forum. :)
